89001 heading towards completion. I fancied building another shark. Mainline blue for this one! 33002 My own 33035 One for me, One for PAH. 2 50015s await detail painting. 47186 47210 part way through a fade weathering job. I will eventually get there. Again, the colours on this photo are a little wrong. Summer holiday purchase. D1015 will get modern Main Line bits.. Orange Cantrail etc. The 455. Not forgotten, just delayed. I'd been putting off the cab construction for a while. The MTK originals were NASTY. Bratchell examples fitted now with a little fettling to do. Doors next! A trio of PCVs. Again, VERY long term. I started these BEFORE the postal contract died! NSE GUV. Just 'cos I fancied it. One for another layout Project. A Southern Pride 4-BIG. Part-way through detailing & motoring. Not sure if I'll get it looking *just* how I want it though Dutch 73 Pair. One new to me, One a refurb of an old friend. Will be 73119 73129 part way through respray a much closer to finished 03179 from the front 03179 from the back 50024 Bachmann 108 - Standard other than bufferbeam detail. Hornby 121 Bubblecar L131. Part way through a part-respray. The light NSE blue looks so much better!

Bachmann 20163 with flush nose end. This is awaiting lights, a couple of transfers and a bit of a general tidy up. 03179. Well, I fancied something different. NSE 03? thats different. Currently awaiting final details then the job of all jobs - the wasp stripes on the ends! DC Kits Class 89 - Obviously heading rapidly towards the livery that in my opinion suited it the most - IC Swallow. Wagons - 2 HGA Another Weathering the Hornby ZKV makes it nearly look reasonable. One done, one not. No prizes for what this is going to be! 83301 in early stages of convertion. During the summer I bought for a rather large sum, a pair of much less than perfect EMUs. One of which was this 319. It'll be a slow process, but will hopefully come off the bench sometime next year in the same livery, but with a decent chassis and much much better detail along with (hopefully) working directional lighting! The non-standard car of the 455 is seen having been stripped. 86210 86261 Unbranded LoadHaul 37516 is seen awaiting Varnish & weathering. 37905 - Another one of the current batch of 37s to be on the bench. Again just awaiting varnish, weathering and of course, Nameplates. 37906 also needs varnish & weathering before its finished. 37503 - VERY close to being finished. Final detailing & weathering are all this one needs before it's in the active fleet! 37803, again Varnish & a bit of weathering needed here. 47581. I bought this loco already weathered, but the bufferbeams were not detailed or repainted from Heljan's standard black plastic. I've now done this and it needs a little frame dirt sprayed to complete. All isn's as it seems here! 47484 is what this fine example will end up as. The underframe tanks have been changed, one end flush-filed, and both ends resprayed to match. Just awaiting name & numberplates and final detailing. I'm still clasifying this one as OMWB as it's not weathered yet, but it's incredibly close to being finished. Lima 47528 is mounted on a Bachmann 37 chassis with various heljan detailing bits and Hornby Chassis frames believe it or not! Hybrid 47528 again a close-up of the rear of 47528 shows the 47750 just needs a bit of varnish then detailing. It's amazing how 37023 Another project. I've a bunch of Parkside

Modified front end between the light clusters (fitted with Express Models LED Lighting) Seperate Airhorns with GPS Aerial and mount fitted correct end, Scratchbuilt bogie steps, modified front "snowplough", Hornby class 50 cosmetic front coupling, and Lima class 67 tension lock coupling on the rear. Currently fitted with one of the shocking (in my opinion) modeltorque motors, the mechanism is shortly to be replaced with a Hornby flywheel drive mech. A more recent purchase has been Hornby 60078 in Mainline Blue which has had it's roof resprayed the correct colour (Executive Dark Grey - Not Black), It's in the process of being weathered, and once done photos will be posted here. I've got several, but they were bought before a reasonably priced decent motor was available. Through some research and several friends, I've found that if re-wheeled and stretched, the Bachmann class 24/25 chassis is a very good exchange for the Lima "pancake". Currently only 73134 has this fitted, but I'm hoping the others will follow. Whilst I was remotoring, I took the opertunity to detail the front ends using seperate handrails, Replica sealed beam headlights, Improved airhorns, Shawplan "T" roof Aerials, and MJT high level hoses. The locos will also be LED lit and fitted with Flushglazing. Current 73s are: 73101 - "The Royal Alex" - Pullman Umber/Cream 73119 - "Kentish Mercury" - Civil Engineers "Dutch" 73129 - "City of Winchester" - Network Southeast 73134 - "Woking Homes 1885 - 1985" - InterCity Executive 73212 - "Airtour Suisse" - Gatwick Express I'm not really sure which loco shall undergo remotoring next. It's currently fitted with the A1 class 56 detailing pack, along with modified bufferbeam area. 56063 was a dodgy body when bought, and the respray never really did it much justice. Only the front horn grilles and headlight surrounds have been changed on this loco. 56004 is pretty much just renumbered. Lastly there is a class 56 currently on my workbench. Seen here with it's current stablemate - PAH's 33035 in NSE colours awaiting detail & nameplates etc. (basically his - thats how they come out the box.) 33025 has had all the bufferbeam fittings painted, and the radio roof pods thinned from underneath, as although a rather nice mould, they do appear a little chunky from the box. The 2 platforms are currently layed using unmodified Hornby units, which will be detailed & painted to form something more platform-like in due course. This is one of the next areas of the layout to be worked on. First came 57012. This loco is a detailed, chopped & partly resprayed Lima example which was formerly a 47193. Once upon a time, there was a partner for this in the 57 stable - 57601 A Hornby body on a Lima chassis detailed using the Shawplan kit, then resprayed into it's Porterbrook purple livery. However, I was never quite happy with the paint finish or the Lima running qualities, so after hearing that Heljan were bringing a 57/6 out I looked into the possibilities of buying one and modifying that, so along came 57602 which should eventually become 57604 "Pendennis Castle". Now before I could get my hands on another 57/6 and the associated bits, Bachmann announced they were to be releasing 57601 as a collectors club loco. This was duly purchased, weathered, and is now resident on the layout. The last 57 to arrive has been another superb Bachmann example - 57008 "Freightliner Explorer" which has become 57002 "Freightliner Phoenix" to suit the nameplate position. A lima example resprayed and detailed using Heljan parts and more accurate Hornby underframe tanks. This isn't gone yet, but will end up on eBay soon i expect!!
